About the Client

International technology company, an industry leader in critical communication and population alerting systems. A pioneer in the development of advanced systems for critical messages, with many unique patents known in the industry for their technological and life-saving capabilities, the client specializes in creating solutions for citizen communication and public warning for the security, convenience and welfare of people.

Objective

To support the current project and extend the functionality of the system. The product should be able to notify people about disasters, both natural and man-made, to help them react quickly in affected areas and avoid potential threats through various communication channels such as Voice, SMS, location based SMS, email, fax, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Solution

The product includes several solutions:

• Population Alert solution - a multi-channel scalable platform that can be used by one or several disaster management agencies affiliated with governing bodies or by private entities (university campuses, football stadiums, shopping malls etc) to mitigate disaster risk by timely dissemination of accurate information which helps people react quickly in affected areas and avoid potential threats;
• Emergency Preparedness suite – a web-based software modules for managing the incident life-cycle including planning for, responding to and recovery from all hazardous incidents and events;
• SMS Lifesaver App - a mobile app that makes it possible for volunteer lifesavers located near a person suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest to be notified, etc.

Result

Altabel's team expanded the company's technology to alert large international populations on mobile devices, successfully attracting users from countries such as Singapore, Chile, Peru, and Australia. In 2018, the company was acquired by Everbridge Holdings Limited, a global leader in critical event management and enterprise safety software applications.

Currently, Altabel continues to collaboarte with Everbridge and to deliver a more comprehensive suite of solutions to a wider customer base, enhancing their ability to more effectively manage and respond to critical events on a global scale.
